Gateshead have confirmed the loan signing of Leyton Orient goalkeeper Noah Phillips. The 21-year-old will join the Heed until December 16, 2026.

Phillips arrives to bolster a squad that sits 23rd in the National League after eight games, with just one win and four points on the board. The club's recent form shows four defeats and one draw from the last five outings, including a 1-0 loss at Kidderminster Harriers on Wednesday. The team's primary goal is to improve on their current tally of 4 points and 1 win, aiming to climb from their 23rd place position.

"Gateshead FC is delighted to confirm the loan signing of Leyton Orient goalkeeper Noah Phillips," the club said.

The young keeper has already made six appearances for his parent club this season, stepping in three times in League One and also featuring in the Carabao Cup and Vertu Motors Trophy due to an injury to first-choice Nathan Baxter. Last season, Phillips gained experience in the National League South with loan spells at Dorking Wanderers and Chelmsford City, where he made 17 league appearances for the Clarets after joining in February.

His arrival provides immediate cover and competition for the goalkeeping position as Gateshead look to improve a defensive record that has seen them concede 14 goals. Phillips is eligible for selection immediately.
